Puppy Manners 101 (4-6 Months)

“Whoever said you can’t buy happiness, forgot little puppies” Gene Hill

Congratulations on your new puppy!

Now your puppy has started settling into their new home, it’s time to focus on training the skills they need to be confident and well-behaved dogs!

Puppy Manners 101 is for slightly older puppies (4-6 months) with the aim of developing their social etiquette for lifelong social success.

Puppies are constantly learning, so now is the time to set the house rules and reinforce good habits. Investing training time now will set you and your best friend up for a lifetime of good behaviour!

At Joni & Co we offer two levels of puppy school:
Puppy Preschool; puppies 8-14 weeks
• Puppy Manners 101; puppies 4 – 6 months

If your puppy is 14 weeks old or younger, Puppy Preschool is the course for you!

When can my puppy begin Puppy Manners 101?
Your puppy can commence Puppy Manners 101 ten days after their second puppy vaccination (generally 14 weeks), up to 6 months of age.

What will my puppy learn?
Using a positive reinforcement and rewards-based approach we will:

• Help you learn to read your puppy’s body language and respond positively.
• Train skills like go-to-mat/bed, loose leash walking, leave it, stay, and recall.
• Address common older puppy concerns such as jumping up, pulling on the leash, play biting + more.
• Develop skills to settle and focus your puppy around other dogs and people.

Puppy Manners 101 in a four-week program, once a week for one hour, hosted by one of our experienced dog trainers.
